Spaces

How to create, switch, and configure spaces (the unit of data management), and the difference between business spaces and personal spaces.

What Is a Space

A space is niyase's unit of data management. One space = one business entity (corporation / sole proprietorship / personal use).

  • Business space: For corporations and sole proprietors. You can invite members and use it as a team
  • Personal space: Up to one per account. For personal use such as household budgeting and tax filing

Data is never mixed between spaces. You can keep business and personal use completely separate.

URL Structure

Cloud URLs are based on the spaceId (slug):

/[spaceId]/core/... Core features (business, HR, attendance, payroll, accounting, closing, tax)
/[spaceId]/plugin/... Plugins
/[spaceId]/industry/... Industry menu
/[spaceId]/settings Space settings
/account Account settings (space-independent)

Example: cloud.niyase.com/acme/core/home

Creating a Space

  1. Click the space name on the left of the app bar
  2. Select "Create a new space" or "+ Add a personal space"
  3. Enter the space name and slug, then "Create"

The slug becomes part of the URL. You can change it later, but past slugs cannot be reused (they are blacklisted to prevent hijacking).

Switching Spaces

Click the space name on the left of the app bar to see the list. Select the space you want to switch to. It works the same way on desktop / mobile.

Configuring a Space

From Space settings (/[spaceId]/settings), you can change the following:

TabContents
Basic infoSpace name, logo, slug
MembersInvitations, role management
PlanPlan changes (FREE / PRO / PREMIUM)
SyncCloud sync ON/OFF (desktop / mobile only)
Audit logOperation history within the space
DeleteDeleting the space (30-day soft delete)

The Concept of Cloud Sync

On desktop and mobile, you can turn cloud sync ON/OFF per space.

  • Business space: Turn sync ON and share with your team
  • Personal space: Keep sync OFF for fully local use (free)

Signing up = acquiring the right to use the cloud; sync itself is an explicit, per-space action. For details, see Sync and Consistency.

Deleting a Space

You can delete from Settings → Delete tab.

  • Recovery is possible for 30 days after deletion (soft delete)
  • Physical deletion after 30 days
  • Billing is canceled at the end of the period (Stripe)
  • Personal spaces can be deleted with the same flow
