Choosing between the niyase app and niyase Cloud

niyase is offered in two lines: the niyase app (the local-first core that runs on PC and smartphone) and niyase Cloud (a SaaS you can use with just a browser). You can use both together with the same account and the same spaces.

• Data: stored in an encrypted SQLite database on the PC (local-first)
• Strengths: all features run at zero cloud cost / fast processing of large data sets / stable printing and PDF generation
• Limitations: because it is device-specific, sharing with other devices requires cloud sync ON

niyase app Mobile

• Intended users: people who want to check or approve while moving or on-site
• OS: iOS / Android (Expo)
• Data: encrypted SQLite (SQLCipher) on the device
• Strengths: works offline / supports OS-level AI integration (App Intents / App Actions)
• Limitations: bookkeeping work with heavy input is better on desktop

niyase Cloud

• Intended users: people who want to use a browser only / always see the latest across multiple devices

• Data: a tenant-isolated DB on Google Cloud
• Strengths: no installation needed / always up to date / strong for team collaboration
• Limitations: requires being online / some space features need a PRO plan or higher
