Plugins
How plugins work, their types (standard/custom, official/certified), how to install them from the marketplace, and their relationship to core features.
What Are Plugins
A plugin is a side-menu-level feature added on top of niyase's core features. The core features are limited to "managing information required for tax filing"; everything else (hiring, evaluation, inventory, customer management, etc.) is provided through plugins.
- 1 plugin = 1 side menu (≒ 1 feature group)
- Displays differently for executives, employees, and customers
- A plugin's settings are consolidated into tabs within that side menu
Audiences
There are three types of plugin users:
| Audience | Examples |
|---|---|
| Executives / managers | Hiring management, HR evaluation, KPI dashboards |
| Employees | Expense reimbursement, attendance requests, intranet portal |
| Customers | Application forms, contract management |
Plugin Classification
Plugins are organized along several independent dimensions. The one that matters most to users is "cost and availability."
Cost and Availability: Standard / Custom
- Standard plugins: No additional cost. Anyone can use them within their cloud plan
- Custom plugins: Developed to fit your own company's or organization's operations. For visibility, you can choose public (available to anyone in the marketplace) or designated spaces only (installable only in the spaces you specify, such as your own company or partner companies)
Developer: Official / Certified
- Official plugins: Provided by niyase. Same quality assurance as the core features
- Certified plugins: Provided by partners and approved through niyase's review
Where It Runs: Hybrid / Cloud-Only
- Hybrid: Works both locally (desktop / mobile) and in the cloud
- Cloud-only: Works only in cloud spaces (external service integrations, cross-organization collaboration, etc.)
Form of Integration: Standalone / Linked Pair
- Standalone: Self-contained within that space
- Linked pair: An advanced plugin where the provider's and consumer's spaces are paired to work together (order/delivery, business-partner integration, etc.). Cloud use is a prerequisite
Installation
- Open Space settings → Plugins tab, or the marketplace (
marketplace.niyase.com) - Select the plugin you want
- Run "Install"
- A new menu is added to the sidebar
Plugin activation is per space. A plugin activated in Space A must be installed again in Space B.
Available in Personal Spaces Too
The same marketplace is available in personal spaces. Personal-oriented plugins such as tax-filing support and household budgeting will be added over time.
Customize Through Plugins
All customization in niyase is done through plugins; the core features are not modified. We recommend developing your company's specific requirements as custom plugins that call the core accounting and HR APIs to implement features with your own specifications.
If You Want to Develop
You can develop custom plugins with the SDK. For developer information, see the developer documentation.
